A Customized Approach

When I graduated high school, my parents generously asked me what kind of graduation gift I would like to celebrate the achievement, to which I responded, “Please send me on a trip to Asia.” This request was wildly different from what they had in mind, both in cost and involvement, but after much back and forth, we compromised and I went on a modest, unglamorous backpacking trip through Central and South America. ​ I didn’t know it then, but that experience planted the seed for a lifetime of travel and prepared me to help others do the same. Since then, I have planned travel to sixteen countries on four of the seven continents; from Vietnam to the Galápagos Islands to the Amalfi Coast to St. Barths, I have fallen more in love with travel than I ever thought possible.  So why not just keep traveling with friends and family? Why quit my corporate job and pour my life into this work? Dutch philosopher and humanist, Erasmus, once said, “There is no joy in possession without sharing.” I founded Skkye Travel because I agree - the experiences and memories made during travel are too precious not to share. Whether your travel objectives are personal growth, cultural, romantic, historical, culinary, spiritual, musical, or to practice a second language, I want to help you create some of the best memories of your life.  ​ I’ve seen firsthand how experiencing different countries, perspectives, and cultures opens up the heart and yields growth like nothing else can. Traveling helps us to see our place in the world with a little more balance. When we return home, we are renewed, refreshed, and enriched, allowing us to make more connections between ideas and people that make our lives better.
